I realized it while playing the game, and to a greater extent after reading the article, but it's a very meticulous game. The amount of detail and thought into all the aspects of the game are top notch. I really respected the architecture

Until more official news about the fee is released, I'm done reading these articles. The speculation and thinking-four-steps-ahead chess moves are not convincing.

I don't understand the legal ownership fuss of their decision. If they had decided to take 5% instead of 30% there would be no discussion here. The only difference between 5% and 30% appears to be whether or not it's a good business decis

I'm not entirely sure it's possible. We've seen examples of other governments taking down sites because of the way internet protocols work, specifically BGP [1]. I believe some number of the DNS root servers are directly or nearly-directl

This is probably more of a function of the way TCP operates than the potential upstream bandwidth. Basically envision TCP increasing exponentially each time a successful transaction occurs, and then cutting in half when a failure happens.
