Alright John Gault. If we're talking nation level, your startup is not a 'tentpole.' How does your market cap compare to GE, Google, Amazon, Lockheed? Those are redwoods, and there are plenty of those. You're a maple sap

React handles conditional rendering better imo. You use regular JS instead of having to learn a new API. You can use control logic in your render methods to great effect.

The only thing I take away from this is that now this asshole who gained unauthorized access to an API to get an incomplete set of data to use as a basis for publishing slander is getting all this free marketing from his 'content marke

I'm not sure that the Ingress comparisons are accurate. Pokemon is the secret sauce that is making this ingress clone 'stick' for millions of people. I, like you, have questions about it's longevity, but the simple addit

I have something VERY similar to this in production built with Angular, and let me tell you, I'm looking forwards to the day that I get to refactor it in React. I get that it's frustrating to do a lot of setup. But that's the

Once you've done it once it is very quick imo. Deploy 1 to Digital Ocean with Node/Express/Mongo took me a work-night and deploy 2 and 3 took me < 15 minutes.

I actually use my personal website for this. I build out components to play with data on top of API's I've built. It's fun as hell and pretty great for all the reasons that this is great, albeit not quite as shiny.

I've had a similar project I've wanted to get started on for a while now. Does anyone know of a good API or Database for plant identification? Something where you can provide leaf # and shape, flower type and color, location, etc.
