There's a universal algorithm (λ 1 1) (λ (λλλ 1 (λ 1 (λ 4 (λλλ 3 1 (2 (λ 2)))) (4 (λ 5 (λ 5 (2 1)))))) (1 1)) (λ 1) (in de-Bruijn notation) which, given a list of input bits, parses the encoding of an arbitrary algorithm (as a

That ignores its first argument x. You mean the fixpoint combinator λf.(λx.f(x x))(λx.f(x x)), or λf.(λx.x x)(λx.f(x x)), or as a lambda diagram: ────┬──── ┬─┬ ┼─┬─┬ └─┤ │ ├─┘ │ ├─┘ └─┘

Fairness is a wide spectrum. Bitcoin is fair in any 4 year period of fixed block subsidy, and clearly much fairer than any coin with a premine, such as Ethereum's 70% or worse still XRP's 100%. Still, bitcoin is rather unfair to l

While highly variable, the blocktime average over hundreds of blocks can be held very close to its target (and with a trivial one line difficulty adjustment to boot). The orphan rate doesn't get pronounced until blocktimes are made sig

One would expect a timechain to not only target a fixed block time, but also to tie its emission to time. That is most simply achieved by 1 minute blocks with a fixed 60 coin reward. Then the coin supply simply equals the chain age in secon

I was wondering about the weight which I couldn't find specified (although at that size it can't be much) and about ways that you could attach a strap to it.
