I do think Starship will eventually be a success but it's annoying to see people counting it as if it's already working. That said, SpaceX is burning money like a bonfire on that project, so they better hurry.

Yes, because unlike an simple average you have a model for both what you are trying to measure and the measurement. For example, one basic model for your example could be if you are trying to measure a constant with some initial uncertainty
