Over the past 6 months I've had to return over half of the 40 items I've purchased from amazon for reasons ranging from being fake to damaged in shipping. The guy who took most of my returns at the UPS store said he's has a l

If Uber or Airbnb counsel refused to defend some of the dubiously legal practices that both companies practice, they'd be fired that minute.

I'd like to know what your response it to the claims of ageism. The median age of American workers is 42, what percentage of your employees are over that age?

Exactly. Ships cause enormous amounts of pollution but are practically unregulated thanks to the lobbying influence of companies that import and export.

There's a lot more humans than elephants, and a lot of these humans should be taking better care of themselves and their environment. I'd rather my resources go to elephants who are suffering at the hands of humans than to humans

Maybe there are other reasons that people didn't want a refugee shelter popping up next door to them, like crime and overcrowding. If she wants to help she can follow the law and do it without forcing everyone in her neighborhood to pa

I'm a little confused by your comment. Are you saying that you're running an illegal AirBNB rental? Because that's what this is targeting, people already breaking the zoning laws. Also, are you saying that your cousin will lo

So skip seven appointments to discuss your multibillion tax bill with the IRS, and Obama will still come share the stage with you at a conference. Good to know.

Actually the judge wouldn't let Gawker present evidence from the FBI that both Hogan and the woman knew they were being taped. This means that not only is it possible that they lied on the stand, but with the huge amount required to ap

You can't find the study because it doesn't exist. In the United States and in the UK there is a huge disparity in violent crimes committed by race.

Maybe that's a sign that these people shouldn't be cheating to get into a school that they can't work their way out of. These aren't victims, they're cheaters taking spots from other people.

It's probably because like many "reporters" at Daily Beast, she apparently has an agenda to push. Why not just report the story, complete with facts like where exactly it happened, and maybe at least one interview with a witn

This whole thing seems a little fishy. It supposedly happened on Friday and the only news article I could find about it didn't have any independent verification.

This is the opposite of showing cajones. Manufacturers of these drugs have been sued because their drugs were used for executions. So this is a attempt to avoid liability.

Part of the problem with the Vine program is that there's no real need or want that other reviewers have. If I'm looking for a backup battery because it's something I need every day, and I get shipped one and it takes two wee

I think it's pretty awful for a YCombinator employee to come into the comments and chastise a commenter for bashing a YCombinator company. In this case especially, as lots of abuse stories exist about Airbnb.

Why isn't that a good example? It shows in the United States there are people that can arbitrarily add months to your jail sentence for insulting them, or simply send you to jail if you happen to do it while being in the same room they
