Yeah, I had a similar reaction. I wonder if it would be interesting to have a hybrid. Like maybe the letters could start out as Roman, then change (one at a time) into the letter-shaped dots, then change (one at a time) into just dots.

Great point. "This is correct for the reasons stated" comments are almost as annoying / spammy as the shallow negative comments, which makes it a tougher problem to solve.
