I'm not going to watch random German videos to confirm your statement for you. Please share a timestamp in a particular video. How was there any brainwashing? What are your thoughts on climate change?

Every Electron thread goes the same way on HN. Engaging is a lost cause. As a Linux user, Electron is the only way many companies even acknowledge our existence. Getting native integrations without the native UI is always going to be better

Climate change can create factors that make wildfires much larger or more dangerous. I'm dubious of your claim that climate change was cited as a cause in any serious publication. Can you provide any sources? Every fire has an ignition

That's what an alias is for. I don't want that behavior, but you are free to do it for yourself.

Application toolkits will eventually drop support for X11. GTK will remove it in GTK5. Not sure what Qt's plans are, but I'd have to think X11 support is long for this world there as well.

I don't think you know enough about GTK if you think having a CSS parser is bloat in a UI toolkit versus a whole theming engine.

You didn't explain anything wrong with GTK. You just brought up Electron out of nowhere.

I don't think you've used Ghostty in a while. It has auto installing terminfo when ssh-ing. Also, every program ever depends on a certain version of a compiler, so I don't understand this complaint. Ghostty requires Zig 0.14.

FWIW, Mozilla seems to share the same sentiments about many of the standards that Google has been pushing for. They may have different incentives, but Apple does not sit alone on every one of their views.

Ghostty has infrastructure to support it from my understanding, like Mitchell did the initial plumbing. It just takes a spirited individual to finish it up.
