Is the problem that it was Saudia Arabia / Russia, or would this have happened regardless of country due to his contract with the Spanish university? If it's the former, it really doesn't seem like a justified reaction.

Yeah, if we're talking about who gets the most "wow, how did you know that?!" reactions to an interview question, it'd have to go to Nardwuar. Nardwuar's TED talk is great too, he ended it by crowd surfing out of th

Twitter shows up next to "By" for me, but it took a few seconds to load in after the page itself. Maybe it's being blocked by a script/ad blocker in your end?

Yes, NixOS also ships ZFS in their ISO. It's been super easy coming from ZFS on Arch to NixOS, no hassles with adding custom repos, using DKMS, etc.

Unrelated to trim, but for some reason when I used secure erase on an SSD with a ZFS pool, the pool was still able to be found by ZFS. That shouldn't be the case, right?

It works perfectly fine (even better, I'd say, than other Linux distributions) as a desktop OS. Currently running it on both a laptop and a desktop, and not sure what you're referring to.

I got lucky: ps ax showed a python3 process running /home/ubuntu/badlog.py, so I knew to kill that. If it wasn't named so obviously it would've been much harder to find it.

You can use 'Nix' itself for writing NixOS packages, creating Docker images, etc. For NixOS, it's perfectly valid as a desktop OS (I use it on my daily driver laptop) as well as on a server.
