Felt the same way, but if you look closely, good games are simple games. Heck you could even build simulators that don't involve much imagination as you base them on real life objects.

Just like German car makers bought the EU, in exchange for protectionist measures and to get away with emissions that have destroyed a continent's climate? How come the EU is not looking more inwards, or into Chinese company practices,

I second this, and that is what i did. I still develop web apps in my day work, and do a lot of game development on the side. I recommend doing it as an indie rather than as a job, as the satisfaction is higher. Game development is somethin

Frankly, you are jumping to conclusions. I don't drive a car, despite being a former “petrol head”. I am stating a hard truth, but apparently hard truths are hard to swallow on either side. If anything, you should chance your attitude.

Yeah, that's why people don't mind the likes of Trump, because people hate hard truths and changing habits, and they keep being told they need to suffer for change to happen. I think radical change in how we generate energy and h

I don't think the solution is less flying and less driving, as we obviously can't take a step back in our mobility. This kind of "solutions" is what puts people off. The solution is more green tech and more green power p

Some charge money for developing products, and it leads to sustained development. Some call those commercial products, and have a tendency to work well. The source can still be open, as open source doesnt have to be free. But many dont want

“The graphics, networking, and audio layers for example are NOT written in Python.” - so...the game’s code is not written in Python at all, except some gameplay scripting.

From what i gather, what most people find expensive are addons that you have to pay for, to be able to continuously play the game.

Don’t treat developers like bricklayers. Sack any product manager or manager that does it. This is the root of all evil, radical as it may sound. There needs to be a balance between engineering and product delivery, but too much emphasis on

I like JS, actually. It would be great to have some diversity tho. Also i agree on having better browsers.

IMO it does have meaning, in the a technical sense, not necessarily commercially. JS does monopolize browser scripting. Now that you mentioned it, it's quite interesting that there are basically no competitors to JS, in the browser.

I am puzzled, what are these statements based on? "Linux stacks were either PHP, Rails, Django, or similar, which, while good, are not as performant." - first time I hear a .NET/Windows/SQL Server stack is more performan

Personally, I am not a huge fan of Windows, .NET and SQL Server, but this is a good example of a company using the right tool for the task at hand, rather than copy pasting popular stacks. It would be really interesting to see some stats, b

I am not sure what your statement is based on regarding linux being more resource hungry than windows. Have stats to back this up? Same for goes for the SQL Server’s “impressive performance”.
