That's only in big cities and some random gemindes though (your parents are lucky). I get my internet over 4g here because land lines are 10/1 mbps. Still, 4g is 80/15 or so, so it's viable for now (sunrise too)

This is why the linked article specifically says it does not look for newlines: > Moreover, GNU grep AVOIDS BREAKING THE INPUT INTO LINES. Looking for newlines would slow grep down by a factor of several times, because to find the new

What kind of managed service do you have in mind? We plan to offer some managed services, but I can't hint at an ETA for that (I don't know myself). I think we need to communicate more around our roadmap in general.

I'm not sure I understand the claim that we are "very expensive" :) Linode 4Gb -> 30$/month Exoscale Medium (4Gb) -> 34$/month. However exoscale is ISO certified, will handle european VAT, and let you scale s

We are a mostly Clojure shop and are very happy with it. It's very expressive, functional, and allows you to tap into the Java ecosystem if you need to. Might not be as hyped today as it was some years ago, but the language itself is s

If you are connecting from Europe, maybe you could consider exoscale.com 's S3 storage offering? It's 100% european (with Swiss and German regions), and priced pretty aggressively. https://www.exoscale.com/object-s

Full remote engineer for 7 years here. I don't think it ever stops. If I had to venture an answer as to why, I'd say "fewer interruptions" - most interactions are asynchronous (email, IRC in my case but slack just as muc

I know it's not directly what you've asked for (it's neither apache nor nginx), but the Caddy webserver does just that - almost 0 configuration dealing of the ACME part, auto-redirection from http to https. You still need to

The article is from 2012 but still sums it up quite well: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/01/business/how-delaware-thri... It's a corporate tax heaven. But incorporating is trivial.

The author opened a bug in Ubuntu about this here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1703742 It is in the process of being fixed (it should be set to madvise).

I doubt accident rates will be impacted that much. When you fly to a country that drives on the other side of the road from you and then rent a car, you are sitting on the other side of the car entirely. It takes a couple of hours at worse

That's exactly what the link you pasted says - Debian is closing Alioth and migrate to using gitlab. No automatic migration is planned - you need to migrate the repos you are responsible for yourself.

Apparently this requires a hole to be punched in the sandbox to allow android apps to "impersonate" other apps (by way of signature spoofing). The lineage folks didn't want to merge it in on grounds of security concerns. (I&#
