It'a not a decision made by US airports, the US requires every person who lands on US soil to clear US customs even if that person's final destination is outside the US (ie. the US doesn't allow sterile transit).

Good point with the flexible BFT paper. I didn't realize casper pipelines, I'll have to look into it. I'm working on IBFT (fixed to be more pbft like).

I'm a little doubtful. It's hard to make a large pretty flat surface out of stone. That looks better than the french paves (which they still lay by hand in some places today), but still not fun without a modern bike.

Homebrew, a pretty dominant command line package manager for mac osx, has its package definition/install scripts written in ruby. It doesn't do the functional dependencies aspect well, but it is the package manager for macs.

My experience is that almost all of my physics profs use chalk (that's the classrooms that we have, but no one's really complaining). Depending on the room and class size some engineering is still chalk, but more are migrating to
