I’ve been doing this for a long time, except I just write basically a memoize function that I slap onto any old function. It’s not a real error handling solution. I only use it for my quick and dirty projects. Many errors are recoverable bu

I don’t see why it has to be due to environmental concern. At the end of the day, the world is complex and if political pressures force countries to adopt green policies, who cares. That said, I think energy independence is a really major c

I’m a big fan of React and jQuery but it sounds like you’re not using jQuery right. All my jQuery components were self contained and you just initialized them with $(‘[data-date-picker]’).datePicker(). It is pretty obvious to anyone looking

I’m not sure if it’s intentional. I don’t find the other container orchestrators that much better either. No one ever cares about making tooling in any software project. You’re always using something by a dead-ass random third-party. Micros

I took it to mean that someone forgot but the mistake would have been caught if the removal was documented in the authoritative record system, since that kicks off an automatic workflow where QA is notified and must sign off. But they didn’

Well a database is just a binary file format with an API attached on. Because having hundreds or thousands of concurrent file handles across a data center is kind of hard.

I agree that SMS is a terrible multi-factor. But it caught on because asking people to install an app is a massive ask. Not to mention, people never save those recovery codes. Sure, you can use Authy and back up your codes but that’s pretty

I was a lazy student and rarely did this but whenever I read ahead and took notes before going to class, it made the whole class really easy. Shoulda done it for my entire educational career. But I had other plans.

I use the ecowitt wh51’s that has gone for $15-$20. Have had a bunch of them for 1-2 years and they all look brand new and I haven’t swapped any batt. I don’t use the hub.

I don’t think this is too gnarly but I ingest 433MHz/MHz RF blasts from the neighborhood using a software-defined radio. I primarily use this to track my 30+ plants using cheaper, lower power, pairing-free and more reliable RF ping-bas

UX may not have been as big back then but there’s nooo way no one noticed it being uneven if there was any designer involved. I just always assumed it was an artist’s style choice.

It’s because headlamp housings are really expensive at like $500-$2,000 for mostly plastic. So someone just trying to make it easier to see at night cheaps out and spends a fraction for a LED bulb replacement for a few hundies, tops. You ca
