The irony of this article is that current customers like myself who read this news are now looking at alternatives. I spend roughly $120/m with DO and have done for the last 2 years. I have a majority 5 usd droplets and 1 20 usd drople

Sucks. Hope it's not financial. I run a bunch of projects on DO, much prefer it over AWS. It's easier to use and straight to the point.

There should be more sites like this that index the nonsense these mainstream publications report.

I used to know a guy back in 2014 who's entire business model was based on ad arbitrage. 1) buy clicks on native ad networks 2) send user to a gallery style page (press next to see another celeb without makeup) 3) load all pages with

Then the marketing person lacks fundamental understanding of the platform. Also, how do you spend so much cash and ignore the stats for so long that you have to change the target demographic for the app?

HN is a bubble. I've been running PPC ads for highly targeted keywords for the last 5 years which have generated a ridiculous return. In general ppc is steady and reliable once you have you're keywords and ads running for a while

100% this. You can have the best castle, but if no-one visits, what use is it? I've met too many programmers with great ideas and execution, but have failed with marketing/sales because they think it's all fluff. Communicatio

I also did this, quantum is leaps and bounds ahead of chrome (no pun intended) in terms of being clean and feeling more solid. Also not a RAM hog.

I don't see how this is relevant. Even if it was an ab test, we know that Google is looking to remove url structures from search results.

This is spot on, I graduated with a degree in genetics and cannot articulate this any better. Biology is very hard, it's more about discovery and iteration and a lot more deeper than tech. Very few understand this, so it's been am
