Ecologists frequently focus public efforts on widely recognizable umbrella species. Humpback whales are widely distributed and touch many complex parts of the ecosystem. Making them the face of conservation efforts makes sense, because prot

I mostly use Ida for exploit development, and have been struggling to find ways to connect the debugger to a proc spawned by pwntools. It’s much easier to use gdb-gef and pwntools directly. I don’t know how much of a killer feature the debu

It’s not necessarily an act of charity. China has a vested interest in looking like the country capable of leading the world out of the pandemic, especially as Trump continues to stumble and alienate the rest of the world - it’s the same ga

I’ve heard that as well and certainly hope that’s the case. But I’d think it’d be irresponsible for planners to just assume that’s what would happen, and not ask themselves what happens if the pandemic becomes worse.

I don’t know any reason that wouldn’t be the case, and many/most experts are already predicting a second wave - we don’t know the reasons that the 1918 pandemic mutated to become more lethal, so I don’t know how someone can say that it

Or it could be like the 1918 Spanish flu - a bad first wave that was most dangerous to the elderly, and a second wave that mutated and killed mostly young adults.

I had commented in a previous discussion regarding Haskell that a common criticism of Haskell is that it’s lazy evaluation can lead to problems reasoning about runtime performance, a criticism which is repeated here. I wonder if there any r

I’ve not used Haskell (so I have no idea of the validity) but the criticism I always hear leveled in discussions is that lazy evaluation makes runtime hard to reason about.
