This is incredibly sad--RIP Ian. Some may consider his actions extreme, but if you haven't been harassed, arrested, and deprived of your rights + freedom you won't understand how shitty it feels.

This was a fantastic post. Granted the high-level view skirts very technical aspects of Tor, this post is perfect for laypeople who hear about "Tor" and ask about it.

My white MacBook was in the same boat. I still use it as a media computer, so I formatted and installed Ubuntu Mate 15.04. If your son is just using the web browser, I doubt he'll notice the difference in OSes. I don't know how ol

I agree somewhat with the headline; however, what is the definition of knowledge? I think knowing how to search for the right things is part of knowledge. Knowing how to search for what you need to know extends your knowledge almost infinit

I honestly skimmed the article and didn't read it deeply because I have to run in a bit. But the fact that GUIX is a language-agnostic package manager sounds very neat. I write Go code and one of the things I had to cope with in the be

I can't speak to the second part of your post, but I definitely agree with the first part. That is, in my experience, I have found remote desktops to be somewhat sluggish/poor quality gfx. I assume these are trade-offs for connect
