Please read more about the space race. Soviets were kicking our ass for a while until we got into high gear. And there was no rich billionaire, or entire govt institutions to help with technical debt

Why is it a blanked statement that “govt is corrupt” such a universal truth? People can be corrupt too - musk redirected Tesla resources to build his glass house

Hm, my initial thought to this question was - is china producing so much of the worlds stuff that it affects extreme poverty - like making phones that allow an Indian farmer to better sell his fruits. Is there anything to this idea?

Yeah… commercial aviation is in shambles, Boeing isn’t doing great, and FAA is understaffed so Occam’s razor. Don’t have to believe everything Musk says during an election year

Please leave the FAA alone. It has never been political. They literally have a fiduciary interest in helping aviation companies. SpaceX works really closely with them.

I didn’t read the parent comment that way, who did give due deference to spacex. This is hard stuff, as I was reminded when the dragon capsule exploded during very early testing. But spacex is such a beast that it overcame that ridiculously

Did you diy a roof install? I’m really looking into this as I live in the southeast, but I’m getting ridiculous quotes (60k for a 10kw system with two power walls).

While I agree with almost everything, I disagree with the "zero". Musk's perceived pettiness can easily handicap spaceX. The goal to colonize Mars is noble but not profitable. Gwynne Shotwell could one day say to to his ideas
