I always struggle with this type of response on UX issues. They always seem to think the 'how' is important, and that the length of time that takes is also important. It's not. You don't need to explain how to do it, you

We don't soft delete payloads at Raygun ( https://raygun.com ), for the very fact that typically if one of our customers wants to delete something it's because they might have sent something they don't want a third

Hmm, also in Seattle and seem to recall a record long summer last year with 100+ days of no rain (well, one which just managed to trip it by volume at SEATAC in the middle). Personally, I think the whole 'Seattle has horrible' wea

That's basically it. My PC that keeps up (and can sync a month of updates in about an hour) will typically be thrashing an SSD at 55MB/s while using about 15Mbit/s internet. On an older PC I can't sync, it keeps falling

Could be wrong, but I'd assume some of it is related to scale of features. For example, when they started hosting images - they started at pretty extreme scale, so that would likely slow down feature delivery. Having said that, not all

I'm with you. The worst part of a project (when I was doing them) was getting the first to end-to-end proof of concept going. Give me profiling tools, debuggers and refactoring tools any day of the week.

This is a similar logic to folks that "settle" with marriage. It's not a long term win, and if you're not building for the long term, why do it at all?

If it takes you years to build trust, maybe you're just not very good at your job. Why should the business take the risk - for years - that you might be trustworthy?

How is remaining inefficient the ethical outcome? You know what's worse than a few people losing their jobs? Everyone losing their jobs because a competitor is more efficient and drives you out of business.

Reminds me of an old joke: Why do we host on AWS? Because if it goes down then our customers are so busy worried about themselves being down that they don't even notice that we're down!

Not questioning you, since anon might not be your primary driver. However, this reminds of a UK survey in the early 2000's that said some crazy number (50%?) of computer users would give up their password for a candy bar :-)

This may or may not be your issue. But I found that the Windows Defender system would start going nuts on files related to Discord. This would cause all sorts of problems (though most of the files involved seemed to be more related to their
