With e2ee please remember that it is important to define who are the ends. Perhaps your e2ee is only securing your data in travel if their servers are considered the other end. Also one thing people seem to misunderstand is that for most ap

The government are able to access your conversations, data and connections with e2ee in place already. I don't see how not having e2ee would have an effect on that ability in any way.

In that case don't use Tiktok dm's to discuss your sexuality. I think it is strange that people feel like they have to be able to talk on sensitive topics over every interface they can get their hands on. Similarly in "tradit

In my experience most forums have private messaging. Additionally I think it is fine to say "we don't support e2ee". I prefer honesty to a bad (leaky) e2ee implementation, at least the user can make an informed choice.

I agree, there is a reason we settled on programming languages as a interface to instruct the machine. Ultimately it is a tool to indicate our thoughts as precise as possible in a certain domain. People that don't understand the tools

Yes, actually the AVG (GDPR) is very broad in what it considers personal data. Sadly that means it is not enforced well since it is too broad to be enforced in a meaningful way. And therefore it is violated A LOT, both by companies or peopl

I would like to take the discussion in the other direction. How about we offer safe spaces instead of banning the unsafe spaces for kids. Similar to how there is specific channels for children on the TV. Perhaps the government can even ince

Have you ever visited any game store and turned off nsfw protection? I love gaming, but I hate all the smutt games. It discredits the medium, essentially what has also happened to anime.

I think there are some important points missing. Japanese society can adopt things fast the "keitai denwa" where created and adopted earlier than anywhere in the world but in 2025 most companies still use fax machines. The japanes

I don't know too much about the USA side of trucking but in the EU the cab over trucks have been able to steadily improve their aerodynamics, and there has been a lot of effort into improving this. Obviously there is more frontal area

Because the individual logistics companies are not developing the trucks. The aerodynamic properties of a truck are mostly determined by the model/brand, and this is a huge consideration at companies like Scania, Volvo or Mann. Not so
