Another great Mosfilm, Kin-Dza-Dza!. Spaceships run on matchsticks while rusty bolts are required for intergalactic travel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUtZOl_QxvY

Any chance you're going to release schematics / open source the design?

Awesome project! This would be fairly great fit for underwater UAV's, or like security camera way out on the edge of property. May be a good idea to post on ardu-sub related discussion forums. I'm not aware of an off the shelf mod

Excellent writeup! Have you ever had any sort of reasonable range with a cybiko? I remember articles noting that connections struggled after 30 meters

If you are able to race at dusk or in the evenings with medium external lighting, tracking different colored indicator leds doesn't require extensive or expensive hardware. This will only really give you a 2d overview, but some informa

How well did the force sensitive resistors workout over time? I found these switches that are used as push-buttons on public buses they work fairly well and survive splash/grime [1] [2] I contacted them ages ago and they sent a demo ki

Nice video series! With some incredibly odd timing, I documented building a onewheel right before the commercial ones existed, for a 2014 writeup: https://transistor-man.com/flying_nimbus.html So jealous that off the shelf

Awesome work! How computationally intensive is Acoular / how complex would doing this from a live feed instead of recorded files be? Thanks for posting your project.

Those Panoramas are gorgeous. Have you tried 360 photography / meshing? It may allow for those gorgeous long image to fit on mobile better, not really sure. I've been toying with pannellum[1] , and displaying 360 mesh's, its

This is wild. The HD44780 is so incredibly ubiquitous in character displays, they are everywhere. Really curious to see where this goes.

Steve was a really curious character, he had an endless supply of stories but was still excited about tearing down a strange bit of electronics late on a Friday evening. He'd gladly hand you a stack of fluorescent signs to help adverti

Interesting! Just curious, what model jeep has this as an option? Would be interesting to see how retrofit-able this is into older, very noisy Jeeps.

Its really annoying the W series Lenovos were discontinued. The W530 could survive everything from road trip back-seat python to outdoor satellite sdr debugging, all while having a keyboard that was backlit and easy to replace.

I've tinkered with 'hobby grade' acrylic painting with robots before [1] and this is a wonderful paper. Getting the visual feedback on brush strokes alone working well is impressive. The line "Real paint strokes interact

Small world, thanks for whoever posted this, this is indeed my contraption. This is a bit of last year's documentation, as the vision processing stuff was still mid-testing when the whole newsfolk found me.

Note that there are three pages in this write-up, its a good read. I miss this part of the web, lots of technical details, some background story and no advertisements. Thanks for posting.

@ Melting down fuel to determine its properties, the US just restarted a facility that does exactly that! The TREAT reactor purposely melts fuel to determine its failure points and to study new cladding materials. https://en.wiki

Thanks for taking the time to share the link, was interested in diving into the deep rabbit hole for a self-driving contraption and 300$ off is quite an incentive.
