Until the users want a new feature - save/load, say - and you can't add it without breaking the toaster in the office kitchen. And so the users bugger off to play Candy Crush Massacre or whatever :-)

It seems to me that ST would really benefit from being open-sourced, but I guess it depends on how much cash he's getting out of it, and whether he can afford to give that up. I stick with ST because the plugin ecosystem is vibrant, it

I don't think it does have a steep learning curve, really. I first tried it when I was a real greenhorn, having played around with backbone and ember and not really enjoyed the experience; with Angular you can be doing something cool i

Might be a false positive on my part - between this and my phone, the thing is wildly inconsistent. Not sure this website is a great advert for the whole "everything should be a SPA otherwise you're a dinosaur" point of view.

After I turned off µBlock, it loaded alright(Chrome/OSX 10.8). I know a lot of people here love them an adblocker, so that might be the problem. It seems to be blocking a JSONP call somewhere, and thus the loader spins forever...

Yeah, that's pretty much what it does[0]. Most templates will typically live in separate files and be loaded and compiled when needed, of course - so not so much of a performance hit up front. But Angular still needs to know where to d

Depends on the meaning of "should" there - if you mean according to the laws of capitalist society, then no, they shouldn't: they should be paid what it costs to feed and clothe them in all cases, and the rest (surplus value)

Yeah: I listen to a lot of very obscure 90s emo records, which were all fly-by-night bands on tiny vinyl-only labels (and other similar corners of the music industry). This stuff is not on Spotify. I did not expect it to be on Spotify, and

I would be astonished. I'm a junior on £27k, and when I was looking for jobs I never saw a single one at that level advertised over £30k. Which rather puts the £8k fees in an unflattering perspective, but there you go.

A common approach is to describe the functionality aloud. If your description includes the word 'and', then there may be a problem ("this method increments the foo counter, and makes the tea").

Moorcock's Tolkien take-down is here: http://www.revolutionsf.com/article.php?id=953 It's a good read, although I'm partial to some big dumb sword-waving pulp fantasy anyway.

Not to mention fantasy/SF love of invented languages. I'd hate to be HP Lovecraft if this becomes common. Or have to quote transliterated Arabic, for that matter.
