Yes, but you're locked into the subset of prototypal inheritance that basically is class inheritance. A class is, fundamentally, just a prototype of a particular kind.

I agree (and implied) it was not a great design for actually dealing with names, but simply that sometimes there is more in getFoo() than "return foo". Which behaviour you may want to verify with a test. EDIT: typo

I love both languages, but I don't see the tooling in one as vastly superior to the other. Elixir certainly has Clojure completely licked in terms of compile times; also the Mix command-line workflow is just simpler (no messing around
