Introducing any mental overhead to eliminate a single character per line at most seems a tad ridiculous.

> to enforce the lack of semicolons Why would... you want that? You're trading minimal syntactic noise for possible ambiguity errors. You don't really gain anything.

MDL looks really interesting. Is there any similar modern-day language for more advanced (graphically and input wise) adventure games? Because if not I might build one...

Think of a random cafe offering complementary free donuts to veterans, and then deciding (or being told) to start charging for them. The Red Cross was not a perk provided and paid for by the army. It's really not that outrageous.

Do we need this many? No. We don't need any. There are many reasons new languages get created, but very rarely does an old language ever die. Erlang was created out of a need for reliable, scalable, multi-threaded programs that could

> Slap this on the top of your code: > #define new(dtype, length) (dtype *)malloc(sizeof(dtype),(length)) Kind of a minor point, but isn't the consensus among C programmers that you shouldn't cast the result of malloc?

Sometimes it can actually be more efficient, since more bits are wasted with indexing. Random example: 1234 opcodes, 12 registers. 1234 * 12^3 = 2132352 (22 bits) 1234 is 11 bits, 12 is 4 bits 11 + 3*4 = 23 bits so in this case,

So basically this takes instructions like add %r1, %r2, %r3 along with their C code implementations and generates specialized 0-parameter instructions like add%r1%r2%r3 This gets really hefty really fast. While many instructio

Don't know Go but I'm going to give it a shot: 1. Casing is a personal preference, so that's fair, but not a valid criticism. 2. Type decls after the variable are much easier to parse, and allow for (easier) type inference. 3
