Even by the pound would be hard... quality two-ply vs low-grade gas station TP... The price per unit is also difficult to compare... are you getting the costco packs that still have the larger per-sheet area or the new, smaller sheets. Not

I'm not familiar enough beyond casual use of Steam on Linux and a few one-offs to know the current state of gaming... but can only posit that a GoG installer/launcher for Linux that uses Proton (like Steam) wouldn't hurt.

I used to like Digg and enjoy the podcast a lot. No idea what the tech behind this site is, or what server(s) it's running on, but kind of clearly not enough for the hug of death it seems to be getting... can't really even use it

I would think that with a bit of work, it should be possible to implement a baseline for a language like Rust or Go to target that environment with a "bare" application that may or may not have a direct filesystem interface to use

I'm nut sure I'd go that far... it's just I expect a "Pub" to include pub food.

Of you can do what 3% of Deskop/Laptop users in the US did last year and switch to Linux instead.

I often toyed with the thought of a TP index... literally the spend on something you use to wipe crap off your rear and throw away.

Beyond just the monthly/yearly changes are the cumulative affects of those changes and disparities of wage stagnation with record inflation over time. Increased rent/housing costs are also a massive factor. Not even counting the

My biggest issue with work visas is they're treated as an under-class that literally competes at upwards of half the pay or less and used to suppress wages. Especially in the past 5 years. I'd like to see a 100% tax on Visa worker

Absolutely, and I didn't mean to even imply that this circumstance isn't worse than then. Even being employed is kind of crappy, at least for me... beyond seeing positions expired and literally opening the same jobs at half the p

On #0, there was a group that did this in SV around 2000 called itself "Recession Camp" where they did free/cheap group activities. Would be cool to see something similar, but more persistent. On #2, with the dotcom bust and

Even though I like JS/TS, I agree... not to mention that at even 10x the suggested amount for paid accounts, or even $1 per private repo per month, it still wouldn't be significant to any individual developer... More along the lin

I can see that, but I mean in terms of body specs and room to reshape/cover/modify the vehicle to different needs beyond pickup truck. Including a second row of seats.

I think the difference is what each company respectively thought of the model itself. For Tesla, Cybertruck is imo like a lower-volume sports car... for Ford, it was an upscale work truck option. The expectations are imo very different.

+1, these type of behaviors are really likely to change/break in time. There's a reason the API tends to include permalink URLs... new Id's and the link pattern may very well change dramatically over time.

If that was the goal, then killing nuclear power and holding it back for the past 4 decades was probably the wrong move. Solar and other "renewable" sources aren't enough to meet energy needs now, let alone the near future.
