While I appreciate the sentiment... there was something nice about the social aspects of many/most projects being on GitHub in terms of collaboration. I think there is starting to be a lot of friction for many reasons. I've been

Been noticing this all day.. various workflows failing in weird ways.. strange UI issues... Literally holding off on our deployment for a day... bad enough it seems like I'm fixing a CI/CD breakage once a month or more.

I'm not suggesting they keep it all... just ironic as a statement considering Linux is literally removing a bit lately... <= 486, the bus drivers for mice, etc. I'm mostly okay cleaning out a lot of legacy and unsupported devic

It would be dual license effectively... the base version AGPL and the Commercial version with additional functionality. Though I'd considered BSL and alternatives... and as mentioned, just closed/commercial only.

You can see it a lot if you ask anything remotely political to the different AI models... in some places you can definitely see the hand-editing/overrides as well. Hard to get around these kinds of issues and definitely leads me to avo

I'm a bit irked that there aren't more, less expensive 10gb 10baseT ethernet switches available. I have one that I have as my main connection in the wiring closet (need to get my NAS back in there), and a few 2.5gb switches off o

Most devs don't understand how to use a traditional SQL style RDBMS appropriately either. Especially with support for JSON encoded fields, you can do a lot of things that break traditional normalization but have a massive impact on pe

My own repeated analogy is that it's been a lot like managing/leading a few foreign dev teams on a project. You have to document a lot more and have really well defined tasks, you also have to have dalliance in follow-up and QA&#

You do if what you are implementing requires it. Beyond this, if you don't understand the code the AI agent outputted, you shouldn't let other people run it in production.

But it's not all smart, clean, good code... I've seen AI repeatedly make the same kinds of errors and interpretations that I would expect from a human working on something. I find that more time in planning, (pre)documentation a

In most US states, if you're willing to build it yourself, you have a lot more leeway. It was part of the formula that allowed Local Motors to exist (sadly they aren't around now). YMMV of course, but worth checking into if you h
