We know that Facebook employees stalked people using the 'tracking' info. We know police stalked people with their info. We know people with access to PRISM data used it to stalk people. The CEO? No. A disgruntled ex? Yes.

My previous card (Radeon 7970HD) was used for BTC mining in a gaming PC and lasted until about 2018 (So about 6 years). My current GPU is a 1080Ti that used to be in a mining rig and shows no signs of damage at about 4 years of age. I'

I paid 1600€ for my last full PC (kept the old chasis and GPU) and 1700€ for my current work laptop. No, 1600$ (1900€ in Europe) is not cheap by any stretch of imagination.

The difference between 0 and 1$ is bigger than the difference between 1$ and 100$. Edit: That being said, I welcome the additional of an optional charge.

I'm sorry but piracy is not to blame for a 100 million movie budget. I live in a small country and we're able to produce very enjoyable films for far less than 10 million.

Aren't AMD GPU drivers known to be unreliable on linux at launch and stabilize later on? I have similar issues with my 1080Ti by the way, it just wont recognize one or two screens and will mess up the display configuration if I turn on

I'm looking for something that performs on par or a bit better than nVidia 1080Ti, at about the same price point (~300€) and I just can't find any. Significantly newer Radeon RX 6600 cards have 10-20% worse performance according t

The Pine64 guys are working towards that goal I think. You can flash open source firmware on some of their boards, but I don't know if it's the default.

They apparently go for 20-60$/IP. That can tell us something about why large IP holders don't want IPv6, it would reduce their 'investment' to near 0.

IMO, if you bought the game it's morally OK to pirate it. I bought Bioshock 1 on steam and it required Games for Windows Live to play, so I just pirated it and played that instead.
