It has no subtext, poses no real questions (Reddit nailed this: "war is bad, innit?"), and pursues only "coolness". It is thus fashion more than it is art, and it's not daring fashion. Its closest analog is Shephard

Is there a second Grade II Royal Court of Justice building on Carey Street in London? Because the Royal Court of Justice is a Grade I building, and it's on Carey Street.

It's one of the most famous Frank Lloyd Wright buildings (and architecturally one of his most important, and, apropos this story, his building that is most like the RCJ.)

In case it's not clear from the story: a big part of the expense here is that the mural was painted onto the Royal Courts of Justice building, which is a Grade I preserved building, putting it in the same tier of building preservation

Not without damaging the masonry. It wouldn't matter at all if it were a standard municipal building, but this building is protected. If Banksy stenciled another My Chemical Romance poster on the Frank Lloyd Wright Unity Temple in Oak

The article discusses this. They attempted to wash it off the building and failed.

You almost have to ask if Sotheby's didn't somehow arrange for it.

In the sense that they are the enforcement mechanism of the law it's true that they can probably just ignore the law to a point, but it's no use pretending that there isn't a legal stricture here. (I'm a policy opponent

I think that's where I'm at too (as a lifelong fan of actual street art), but that leaves the question of why Banksy is privileged the way he is, for his trite brand of sub-tour-poster stencil work, most of which would be too on-t

They can't; they're obligated by law to preserve the original structure the graffiti is painted on.

AF_XDP kind of is a complete bypass, right? RX get scooped right off the DMA buffer for the card, and TX get shoved right back in.

Doesn't this basically make the argument I'm making, that there's no well-defined band of IQ test scores for different professions?

Do you believe these numbers? Is there a cite somewhere in the literature for valid, proctored IQ tests being given to representative samples of different professions for these kinds of comparisons? The link you've provided is to a com

I think, and I'm saying this in part to get someone to correct me, that post-XDP (so 5 years or so now) DPDK is basically obsolete. Is there a circumstance where it would make sense to start from DPDK rather than XDP?

You can, but the interesting thing about AF_XDP is that you've got a userland path to writing directly to the card's DMA buffers; TC BPF still allocates an skbuff for every packet you send.

They haven't. Excepting RC4, which is wildly different from every other mainstream cipher, the track record of practical block cipher cryptanalysis (of core algorithms) is meager. If you redesigned DES so that it had 16-byte blocks and

There was an opportunity to organize and exploit market power back in 2017-2018, when there was a frenzy of recruiting and growth in the industry. The field was also much more ideologically coherent, in the wake of the first Trump election,
