MuLinux could boot a Linux to a prompt, with minimal command line utilities. Extra floppies provided X11, GCC, Tcl, Perl, et. al. MuLinux formatted 3.5" floppies to 1.7mb and replaced many utilities with "rustic" versions w

Good list. I haven't been riding for a few years, but I had boiled all of this down into one golden rule: Assume every car IS out to kill you. This is basically your rule #8, but a little more succinct. Adding to your list, I'd

Author here. Yeah, I haven't had the time to work on it lately. Other projects, work, life, et. al. I did ask for others who might be interested to collaborate, but no takers so far. That offer still stands, btw.

For an open source multi-track tab player/composer, check out TuxGuitar. It reads several popular tab formats. Sound depends on underlying MIDI system, may require a little futzing to get going. Written in Java, runs on Windows

There is some precedence for porting Javascript-written editors to Chrome - a port of Brackets as a Chrome application exists, not requiring Crouton. See Quickfire: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/quick

You're welcome! It is always gratifying for me when I hear stories similar to yours. I've even heard a few similar stories in person from colleagues in my professional career. Open sourcing CROBOTS was something I should have don

Sounds like you haven't used Tcl since the early 1990's, you may want to check your facts. Tcl has had boolean, integer, floating point, list, dictionary, and other data types besides strings since 1997. The fact that Tcl will c

Very nice presentation, although I'd prefer the graph settle to a steady state a few iterations earlier. Ob Lou Reed quote: "One chord is fine, two chords are pushing it. Three chords and you're into jazz." ( http:

Cibyl and NestedVM seem to be in the wrong cell. These take C/C++ source and produce Java. Come to think of it, the Java target should probably be "Java/JVM" as NestedVM can skip Java, going straight to JVM bytecode. A
