I didn‘t know they extended lightsail to more than VMs. In S3 every request costs money, but in lightsail object storage they are free and you pay bandwidth?

The worst is searching for (honest) reviews of bloggers e.g. describing theor experience with some SaaS or comparing some. The results are filled with those scummy compare sites comparing e.g. a DBaaS to e.g. mailchimp. They are not even th

Wouldn‘t it make sense booki g typical SaaS on AWS marketplace? I mean you wouldn‘t have to talk to the billing department, just activate a SaaS within AWS and everything is put on your normal AWS bill?

PostgreSQL 14 will add lz4 compression for toast data. But if i remember correctly the first ~700 bytes are always stored inline and only the rest is compressed. But i could be wrong on this.

The biggest problem is you are missing an ecosystem. If someone wants to use it they need to do everything your way. But when using a boilerplate like from laravel, django, ror etc. there is a huuuge ecosystem which can be used too. So many

You are not storing passwords in plaintext on their servers. They are very open and document on how it works. Basically you give them fully encrypted information they can‘t use for anything
