The article is funny and I agree with overall sentiment, but it's always surprising how people just forget Kosovo and Somalia. Clinton bombed a European country and doubled down on a hopeless mission in an African hellhole (before givi

The Mafia always enjoyed some support among people who benefit from it, which is why they make this sort of populist move in the first place. That doesn't mean they are as legitimate as a proper democratic government. It's like sa

I agree with your view, but if we put down our old greybeard hats for a minute - isn't it nice to see a new generation of people potentially getting excited about RSS? The parent comment is clearly by an optimistic youngster, who has j

RSS advertises the content , but not the actual sponsors of such content (i.e. commercial ads). It's also pretty hard to make it track readers. That's why the likes of Meta and Google just don't like it.

Indeed. Unironically, a lot of modern war material like "Band of Brothers" is relevant to management and leadership in vertical organizations - which is what most companies are, at the end of the day.

Basically you're describing a lieutenant/sergeant relationship. The sargeant will try to give each private the same commands that the lieutenant would give, with necessary adjustments for the immediate realities of the field.

I guess it depends on the hardware you had. On lower-spec machines, some games needed pretty much the entirety of one's RAM; Windows 95 obviously took some itself, so launching a game from it rather than booting to raw DOS would result
