I wish tmux -CC worked as well as mosh did. I really prefer tmux as native GUI widgets.

It kinda works, but mosh reconnects on failure regardless of how long time has passed. Since WG is a layer below, the TCP connection eventually gets reset. It is a huge difference. Also mosh works around lag by local echo, no such thing in

But with the added complexity that sometimes the speech-to-text will just crap out completely.

The real bug is a list being mutated during iteration, ick.

If you copy between stack regions, you need more stack memory, so the stack allocation should be larger. Of course, this would undercount cases that copy to the same region many times which seems likely.

It seems to me that the correct behavior to encourage braking from the user is TILT FORWARD, i.e., show that you are nearly at the limit but do it before you're outside of controllable phase space.

Not very on topic but Siri is such hot garbage. I have dozens of screen dumps where the text is correct but the Siri interpretation of the prompt is just completely wrong. It would have been better if they just gave me a shell-like language

Be that as it may, the point in our bureaucracies is precisely to make sure that the decisions we make are based on what we learned over the years and not what some “10x” SWE is throwing a hissy fit about in the daily standup.

Something deeply suspect about an AI trying to make the argument that virtual sex is better than actual sex, almost as if they had a vested interest… Hmmm!

As a counterpoint, if you lay off 75% of your workers, you can now pay the remaining 25% three times more salary.

At least in the past, nvidia’s consumer grade GPUs would fail eventually if you used them for ML. Not always but I’ve seen it happen multiple times.

I disagree, AR could be very useful - much more than VR IMO - but it’s very hard to pull off. You need a killer app to begin with, and the product needs to be good enough. HoloLens is great at the AR tech part but bulky and expensive withou

Wow, that's certainly a novel way to disseminate technical information. I could not stand it, and I'm not very dismissive of geek content.

You can boast with true statements. "I lifted 100 kg, and it was no big deal." Contrast that with "By maintaining a workout program I managed to work up to lifting 100 kg without issue." It is about the tone and the &quo

That is a very bold claim from basically zero evidence, on both accounts but especially C++ being a zombie language.

It’s not lazy, it’s cost optimized. Like so many times, market forces just force any externalities outside the price signal.

This is an incredibly dangerous and anti intellectual way to think. The merit of an argument is always separate from who else is saying it, no matter how unpalatable a character.
