The expected lifetime of tires is 100k km, I thought.

I would not be surprised if tires wear faster on a vehicle that weighs ~40% more. Another thing to consider is road damage, which is famously proportional to the weight to the power of four. [1] [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/

Hi Matthias, love your channel. You can indent text by four spaces to show preformatted text: hello world

Plagiarism is not a crime, it’s an ethical foul.

You cannot copy from yourself. Reusing material and passing it off as new, no matter its author, is plagiarism.

Piece by piece, we reinvent Perl, then the new Perl turns into a monstrosity, we abandon it, and the cycle begins anew.

It can't be the CPU since it is actually memory-mapped code, and the branch predictor surely cannot cause page faults and so cannot page in the next page of code. Truly curious. I guess the linear access pattern helps but 800 MiB/

The unit issue is in the EU. You can't sell everything by 100 g or 100 mL, so it is ultimately up to the seller. Another example of it is toilet paper, sometimes given in money/square, sometimes given in money/length.

I do use these labels when shopping, and it does help quite a bit. There are other underhanded tricks they use though. Incompatible goods. Buy 8 buns for a 6 hotdog package. Jam jars of 600 mL but refill packets of 750 mL. Absolute madness.

I feel like this is quoting out of context. Pike was saying that SSH is the absolute bare minimum of integration between systems on a network you could ask for, and that Plan9 and others have had much greater visions.

I somehow feel it is a very different thing with ice cream machines versus automotive applications.

I don’t know what I think, it’s not a normal situation in my country. Businesses sign the union agreement, because it is a collaborative process between the union and the employer. The whole system is predicated on good faith. Tesla is open

Wow this broke Safaris text input, and I think it’s just a literal <input type=text>. How far the mighty Apple has fallen when a text input is so buggy. Lord Jesus the hacks I had to do to avoid __builtins__. 281 chars total.

The Moccamaster is well built and looks classic, but it’s a _very_ barebones machine. No thermos flask, no programming, minimal controls.

I don’t think it’s as widely applicable as they try to make it seem. I have worked specifically with PolyGen, and the main problem is “out of distribution” data. Basically anything you want to do will likely be outside the training distribu

I read the article. It has exactly the same limitations as Polygen from what I can tell.

What you have to understand is that these methods are very sensitive to what is in distribution and out of distribution. If you just plug in user data, it will likely not work.

This was done years ago, with transformers. It was then dubbed Polygen.

No, it doesn’t. The question is “what is the largest non-trivial number you can represent with some constraint on size of its expression”. It’s a really old question, and saying “infinity” as an answer misses the point. Saying you can inven

First, this will not be decided by the tingsrätt, second, the context is wider than this single issue. The “performative” is why doesn’t Tesla just sign a union agreement, that is performative.

Clearly performative IMO. The likely outcome is that the 100-odd employees Tesla have in Sweden are transferred to some other organization (with a union agreement) and Tesla proper just does not do business directly in Sweden.

It's the old philosophical impossibility of DRM to ever succeed. As long as the consumer is able to see the media, or the player able to play the game, it can be recorded given enough time and resources, same for cheating.
