"Set an alarm for..." was pretty much all I used Siri for and all I really use OK Google for now. On Android at least, the reminder notifications don't grab my attention at all, so I need an alarm.

I think many (most?) web developers get their start on some shared hosting provider where your only obvious option for managing MySQL databases is phpmyadmin. You have to dig a little deeper to realize you cna use MySQL Workbench, but even

Not who you replied to, but still an avid fan of both games. C:S feels a little shallow compared SC4 at times. It's not very challenging at all, but the draw to SC-like games has always been the creating, not the challenge. I usually u

Yeah it's definitely not perfect, but it's still better than the next best thing, which is probably Virgin Mobile. And it's definitley better than using one of the major providers!

I get that some of the developers and enthusiasts that were around professionally during that period would be untrusting of MS (rightfully so), but to say they've been fading into irrelevance when they still hold the vast majority of t

Reminds me of Valve's attempt to monetize the Steam Workshop last year. They claimed it was to put money in the hands of the modders, but the modders only got 25% of the money and they had to earn $100 (after Valve's cut) to ever

I don't know how many years its been, but all this time and the only reason I see to upgrade from my gen4 Kindle is my lack of back light, which has never really been a huge issue as I don't do much night reading.

I'm still annoyed they didn't ship it with a Type-A -> Type-C cable. Would that have ruined their ability to do the fast charge? Because if not, it would be really nice to not have to bottleneck it through an adapter or buy new

And I'll try changing it in my Nexus. We're at the point where the inability to change your battery is pretty common place on flagship phones.

Spotify, Pandora, etc. all have free versions. If you listen so little that you can't justify $10/mo, why not use those? There are ads, but still.

If you're suggesting otherwise, Spotify also has offline listening and no ads. Sorry if I misread!
