Used NixOS for a short bit, it was easy to get going with and most things works good out of the box with a pretty simple config. Didn't want to replace my linux knowledge with something this different though so moved back to something

We had about a half to one week of empty shelves here, at least that was what I saw, wasn't there every day to look, no idea where it came from but glad it's not a problem at all anymore. Here in Sweden we have the raw material an

Jump in on the deep end. Install Arch, a tiling wm of some sort, and make it yours. Soon enough you realise this isn't the deep end anymore. You get a lot for free by just using linux every day and dealing with whatever problems might

With the big screens and high resolutions on modern phones, all I use my iPad for is Netflix in bed, pretty much. Youtube before phone screens got large-ish. I don't want a tv in my bedroom, takes too much space, cables and dust and al

I remember reading about ideas of a hyperloop tunnel between Stockholm and Helsinki a few years ago, that would be something! I would go to Finland more if that was a thing. Or just a regular underwater train tunnel! One can dream ¯\_(ツ)_&#

Yes, it's easy to ignore open tabs too. No system is perfect but I do this to increase the chance of me reading or watching whatever it is. I wouldn't let it go to 3000 so it sort of works for me, better than bookmarks anyway!

I keep the tab open until I read it... or just as likely, until I close it x months later. At least I won't have 5 year old bookmarks that I never looked at.

Which is usually a thing even on local sites for some reason. Nothing huge ever happened because of my Å name, but it piles up over the years. Biggest issue was when a very confused man tried to check me in at an airport and had no idea how

Å is a good letter in many ways, but not for names. Just my opinion, and I do have around 30 years of personal experience :P

Woops! Late answer. ~/ is backed up nightly and ~/.dotfiles is on github, have some other configs on there too that I don't keep in .dotfiles, not that it matters. The remember part is just that it doesn't really do any

No need to over complicate things. I just have my ~/.dotfiles and if I remembered I saved a list of installed packages on my old install that I can go through and pick whatever I need. Could add some scripts for the things I know I nee

As long as I can do it easy in the bios menu and it's not some windows only software that's fine. But still unnecessary which always will annoy me.

Because it limits what I can get. Some light might be leaking out of whatever case I end up with. Why is it on everything? It's a waste. I didn't want it when I was 16, I don't want it when I'm 30. I can't be alone.

Was looking into building a new computer today, after 5 years with my current one... Saw that even the ram sticks comes with leds. I don't want a single light anywhere but that's not going to happen ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I just bought some fancy chocolate for almost nothing the other day. Best before was end of january but it tasted very good! If I didn't know old chocolate goes white I might have throw it away.

Ugh. A good joke would be to have no crappy joke one year, and then tell everyone that they should look out for a good one next year. Repeat.

This works really good for TS compared to anything else I've tried. I don't think this is as flexible as some of the alternatives, this one is a bit weird compared to many other vim plugins that I'm used to, but it works pret

I would be very surprised if VS Code isn't replaced in five to ten years. Simply because people get tired of editors and want the next thing to be different, not necessarily better.

When it's between 10+ ads per hour or very expensive monthly premium for a pretty bad but addictive game, this is at least a battery saver.

Yikes! My one was and still is $63.70/year. I wonder what makes a domain "premium" anyway, and what makes it more or less premium? Never even seen a live .app domain anyway so that sort of makes them not premium at all.

On my so far unused premium .app it is the same as the initial price but who knows what happens if I put something successful on it.
