Okay, so the article describes all these things about Michaels, and SNL as an entity, but also says (paraphrasing) “if you’re a comedian and you get the opportunity, it is absolutely in your best interest to participate,” and deliberately h

I imagine they expect that if you’ll be using Elixir at any capacity, you’ll have the docs in front of you, which details all the functions available in the modules, as well as the parameters they expect. https://hexdocs.pm/

This feels like a strange argument to make when server-rendered HTML has been the norm for decades, and it's only been recently that SPAs have become popular.

The presence and high score of Jordan Peterson’s book on this list makes me think I’d disagree quite a lot with this person’s reading material.

Delighted by learning this little hack for showing an html thing that you can just paste into the address bar. Thanks for showing it to me :)

Decent point. If my recollection is accurate, a number of browsers or other implementations must already implement something before it can become standard.

This is a valid point. Git is sometimes incomprehensible. The best way to build a mental model for me has been to read about directed acyclic graphs. It’s all just trees, objects, and labels for trees and objects from there. Also to learn t

While I’m definitely not a fan of losing the headphone jack, and don’t love not being able to use my headphones and charge my phone, I do see one positive side effect, and I wonder if Apple is doing it on purpose. You can now buy $20 blueto

If you ever get yourself in a situation during a rebase, or find that a rebase went wrong, have a look at `git reflog`. Running it gives you a log of all the things `HEAD` has ever pointed at, meaning you can find what you had before a reba
