This isn't a bad thing per se. I imagine this could be a thing for an embedded side project or a tiny rescue system. Edit: or learning arm64 assembly :)

I once tested the MS-Windows version on Wine on Linux vs MS-Windows on the same box. Both wine and native were faster on Linux, with the native Java version being the fastest (but not by much).

True that, but imho the jankiness of the video is clearly visible. It just jumps into place halfway.

I couldn't get past the partial instructions. The box of text is taller than my screen and centered vertically, with no way to scroll up or down.

And it was based on Debian. Installing an "app" was quite literally installing a deb package. Back in the day, I was working at a mobile software company and they had to call the IT guy (i.e. me ) to explain how packaging works i

Read closer, it's "Giovannini". However, I still think it's an apt name for a villain. Did the Fedora team not watch Pokémon?

That's like comparing apples and oranges. When tooling is tied to a platform, you're adding in the entire platform to the comparison. Mozilla implemented an alternative to COM, called XPCOM. XP here means cross platform. Perhaps y

IDK what it's like now, but DigiD used to be 2 racks in a separate cage. Even if you can access the floor, you're not getting physically near the servers.

Good work. I bought an AMD Ryzen 3 3100 for €35 with shipping. A Radeon W5500 would set me back €150 at the moment. 16 GiB of RAM another €90. And that's on a relatively cheap site in my country.

Yes, please. Also ask yourself why that old tumble dryer, fridge, amplifier, vacuum cleaner and water cooker from 40+ years ago refuse to die while modern units die about the same week the warranty expires. They make you buy new or else the

I'm relieved my entire network consists of old computers and small, low power network devices. The only dedicated GPUs you'll find is discarded old junk in a cardboard junk box. Being poor can have advantages :)
