Big brain here. Kettle on a stove will never break, and if your stove breaks you have other problems anyway.

Meanwhile in developing countries, health care is hassle-free and low cost. I spent 24usd for an invasive procedure and meds in Taiwan. I’m honestly happy I left the States years ago because I’d probably be in debt at this point.

I will now point you towards mainland China, where kids as old as 90 will shit in the streets. I’m not kidding either (although this is changing in the larger cities.... slowly)

This was a really thoughtful article, and I can say I’ve been influenced by this culture as well, even in my late thirties.

I don’t know if I necessarily agree with deciding to stop publishing books, even those that have images that portray different races in a negative light. On the one hand, you don’t want children to be easily influenced to adopt behavior tha

Well this is very interesting. Congrats on the marketing, I’m going to check this out

Kind of interesting, as this is essentially the plot for the universe of Battletech.

But in reality, the grass is orange and the sky is brown.

Geez man. Why does everyone want so much data now? Just for kids to play a sport. Screw that. Would rather just make my own league for kids to just play.

I wonder how much that is marked up, however. Compared to just buying bare gold, I mean. Obviously even bare gold would have a markup, but probably not as much as coins.

Not surprising. I’m wondering if it will someday come down to storing personal items on personal hard drives again, instead of relying on the cloud for anything other than temporary storage.

I wonder about the value of gold. You might buy gold, but can you actually, physically hold it and own it? As far as I know, the only way you can buy gold is if you either buy jewelry or are a jeweler to make said jewelry. Otherwise you’re

I just read an article about this via Trulia. I can’t help the feeling that these “small towns” sound like a cult.

Oh damn. I grew up on these guys. I first heard a song from them in 99 I think, and started listening to them a lot more during my time in the military. Human After All, Veridus quo, and that one love song were a few of my favorites. Still

Except no racial slurs were used. Just “black, white, attack, threat”. People love making clickbait titles.

If we are to believe the memo that Google wrote about their investigation for firing her, then it seems pretty cut and dry. Either she should have tried going through official channels first, then be smart in her own investigation, or googl

Well, I think I’ve been waiting for a good sci-fi game that has a good storyline. Cyberpunk kinda filled that void a bit. Battle tech is another that I enjoy, but the story was mediocre at best. I think one of the other posters here put it

I hear good things about that game, and I really need to buy it one of these days.

Sucks. I liked cyberpunk, if only because of the story. I like games with decent - excellent stories. Sure, I wish cyberpunk could’ve been even better but it was enjoyable. It’s hard to find games with good stories and lore nowadays, I thin

I’m curious, how did the food in the supermarket feel strange? I eat mostly fruits, veggies and meats. Pretty much 80% natural foods. But I live in east Asia now so it’s easier to do that and with more variety. But, I don’t recall American
