I did not say energy is more important than money.

I think this post shows that indeed small things adds up. Energy might rise by using HTTP/2, but that's not the concerns of OP, they want to reduce their cost, not their energy footprint.

HTTP/2 isn't used on the backend AFAIK, so the CPU usage isn't a concern I terms of increase load on e.g.e EC2

I think it is a matter of risk. Would I risk a hiring a shoplifter in my store? Yes. Would I let a person who commited fraud to work with money ? Yes. What they do isn't something that could not be "repaired". Buy you raise v

Would you say the same thing if a former convict of child abuse wanted to work closely with your kinds in school, sports or other arenas? I for sure would not be happy with it. Certain things are not a right to have, e.g. driving license or

This is also why "endless scaling" is a fud. At some point or some level, there is either a physical, soft, standard or some kind of limit

This is what you need to know: "Not all flows of traffic are tracked. If a security group rule permits TCP or UDP flows for all traffic (0.0.0.0/0) and there is a corresponding rule in the other direction that permits all response

My main beef with PHP is performance at scale. Doing 100.000+ req/s, the memory footprint for PHP is ... annoying.

Could just point to an IP directly as well. That could be blacklisted as well but in today's tech stack it is really easy to change variables so that a block would have a short term effect on the client.

Quiz for instance with a leaderboard or prizing. Let say you publish an Quiz to 1 mill users. Everyone response and you store the responses centrally. Now you send out an aggregated view of the results (e.g. % answered A). Now, you want to

Agree on the hard part. Fan out models like this with the same content is "easy". Getting unique content to specific users in an efficient way, in scale of 100.000 users plus, that's hard.

Parsec (or similar) will be my go-to gaming rig once my current rig isn't good enough anymore. How is the experience with online gaming? Is it possible or is the increase in latency to much for e.g. FPS?

There is a limit of you have a Security Group attached with a rule that is -not- 0.0.0.0/0. So for anything that is public / heavy utilized, the recommendation is to open the service up to 0.0.0.0/0.
