I don't even bother with WSL anymore, most dev packages I use comes as prebuilt Windows binaries bundled as zip-packages that you can unzip anywhere and run. No dependency management, no magic updates, no PPAs, run how many versions of

If you read the paper, From Modula to Oberon by Wirth, I already linked in a pervious comment when answering the question about subranges, you can also find the reasoning behind the removal of enumerations. "Enumeration types appear to

Definitely. I write PHP at work, everything from 10 year plus legacy cruft to brand new projects, and it still works well. I'm not a Python developer, but it is probably true that Python is a better designed language and has more bells

PHP doesn’t ship with an API for creating threads, but PHP can be executed in threads depending on setup. And it does that without using a GIL, instead it internally uses something called Thread-Safe Resource Manager https://gith

Funny thing is that PHP does not have GIL, thus it would perform better on each of those things that you list.

Problem here is that the legislators have skipped making laws on this area because of expedience, politicians have hotlines to the big tech where they can call in ask for content to be removed without any transparency or records whatsoever.

As a non-Python dev I tried the other day to read up how decorators work in Python using the docs, can’t say it helped.
