A fifteen year old cashier at Target can make the same value claim, minus the four year time investment and student debt. Which I think is the author’s point.

Touché! Not at the moment but best of luck with the product. Rereading my initial comment came off more hostile than I wanted, so thanks for the level-headed response :)

So it’s not currently open-sourced? How did this make it to the front-page - it’s basically nothing more than an advertisement at this stage? Am I misinterpreting something?

“Thanks coach” The ego in this response and complete ignoring of the advice given to you is off putting. And I’m quite younger than you ;)

It costs a separate $45 to attend as well. If you present, they don’t combine these fees.

Sure, but $600 felt like a massive over expenditure to me. And there was no conference - this was in 2020, so the entire thing was virtual. No refreshments either. Also, every staff member I met was a “volunteer”.

I’ll never forget getting my first paper accepted to a conference, only to learn that presenting will cost a mere $600. Work paid for it but still - what an absolute racket academia is.

“… something I never knew, because I took the time to go through the menus when I first got the app and learn what functions existed.” That’s great but not representative of average customers at all.

Hospitals are unbelievably corrupt and it’s truly despicable. The worst bit is that this is often learned during trying times in ones life, when stress makes it easier to overlook.

The world of entertainment and media is far more cutthroat and imbalanced than any current work equivalents. I can only imagine how much worse our world would be if we had everyone pursuing clout.
