Don't know how Syncthing works, of it it would even work, but what if Syncthing would detect that it recurses into a .git folder, and then use git push to push all refs to the remote .git repo? That should give a transparent "sync

This. I'd like to sync my ~/development directory, including all the git directories, so I don't need to push and pull branches between machines. Is this at all feasible?

That's not my experience. I've reported this to him on two occasions, with screenshots and detailed descriptions of how the UX had regressed. First one took a year before I got a reply (after reminding him), and only partly answer

I like Dash, I bought it. But unfortunately the version upgrade from 4 to 5 introduced some mandatory UI changes that made documentation lookup much more cumbersome. Looking up a function now takes several user interaction steps, instead of

The more plausible scenario would be 11.1 and 10.17 The trick of checking version >= 10.16 to cover both 10.16 and 11.0 would not work then, as version >= 10.17 would cover 11.0 (10.16) too. Then what..?

That's incorrect. The 5.15 branch is and will be public. Most if not all changes to that branch will go via the dev (Qt 6) branch, which is also public.

You're right that we no longer use HITheme to render the macOS style for Qt Widgets, we use AppKit. But it's used to render into pixmaps, so we're not actually wrapping native NSViews.

«In other words, they won’t be able to do much with it besides scrap it for parts.» Or, you know, talk to the friend that sold them the phone. Hyperbole doesn’t sell their point at all.

Thank you for writing this! I recently started playing around with RetroArch, and found it quite hard to make sense of all the shaders it comes with. :) Looking forward to the coming articles to get a better understanding of the parts that

For some reason it also broke Safari on iOS to the point where I couldn’t open HN via a bookmark either. Had to close the tab completely.

Only with the IRC bridge, which is the primary use-case for me since so much of my existing community chats are on IRC still. IRCCloud also bridges to Slack, so I get both in the same (synced across devices) interface.
