Segment's business in particular has them integrating with dozens of unique endpoints. There's an inherent desire for code-reuse in a system like that, along with customization required per endpoint.

That's not completely true. There is the ability to easily delete uploaded videos from your phone. Qik is still my solution for this sort of thing. If you record, it immediately starts uploading. Even if you randomly close the app (by pushi
