Not sure where you're getting this. Zero of my millenial friends like this look -- and we represent a wide range of the millenial years.

Maybe "What is to be done" by VI Lenin would be a good place to start. Though of course there are many such guides that don't always agree.

Any of those responses (or non-response) by Bob would justify the asker in their skepticism of the falsified results. Giving somebody a chance to respond is not the same as relaxing your standards of evidence, it's just an acknowledgem

I agree -- so many of the advertised advantages of git depend on operations on diffs, especially the confusing ones that people find difficult to learn, which makes it very confusing for beginners and casual users when they hear "commi

The house is a good example, but it's worth being careful: the point is that the house is not a liability. There are liabilities associated with it, starting with repayment of the loan that you used to buy the house (for most peopl

Having recently gone to a bit of trouble to learn the basics of accounting, I have found it to be quite a useful system. It seems that most commenters here do not understand that system, or what "assets" and "liabilities"

The fact that it's an asset doesn't mean its value is proportional to the number of lines that are there. Similarly a house is an asset, but not all 1000 sq ft houses are worth the same amount of money.

I have fiber provided by the city utility in Knoxville... is this an exception to that rule? (Moved here fairly recently).

No. There are plenty of things that can be proved, it's just that there exist true statements that cannot be proved.

For one thing an old desktop computer is almost entirely air by volume... Most of the reason that phones are small is that they've managed to make them without having to have a lot of air inside.

One of the frustrating parts of this discourse is that people come to it assuming all the responsibilities fall in the same rough "bins" that they used to, and place their blame accordingly. Wayland made the explicit choice that i

It's obviously not python vs c -- the time difference turns out to be in kernel code (system call) and not user code at all, and the post explicitly constructs a c program that doesn't have the slowdown by adding a memory offset.

It is helpful for people who were paying attention to the perl community with any passing interest at any time in the past 20 years. It is not helpful for people who weren't. But the former describes a lot of people here.
