I don't believe Assange ever believed in a noble cause. He did what he did for personal vanity and any good he did in the world is purely by coincidence. When he blamed the DNC hack on Seth Rich he had an opportunity to do the right th

I think that's overblown as a concern. It's acceptable to have some degree is misuse if it's still a net positive. Some degree of fraud is baked in to any human endeavor.

I think there is also a phenomenon where bits of the human condition are given a label and then suddenly sprouting a subculture on the internet where people get excited to be part of something special. Some kind of disease fetish.

It's a spectrum and I think your experience is probably typical. A minority of people see nothing and another minority of people see vivid images. Most people get varying degrees of fuzziness.

This is a big issue with podcast analytics since most downloads come via podcast apps that don't allow any client code at all. We only have server logs to go off of and hence problems like NAT are essentially unsolvable.

I think that's very true. And it applies to film and other media as well. There's vastly more content available to far larger audiences than ever. There may very well be more concentration on the business side, but not on the crea

Sure, but that's probably still just sample bias of presidents all being at least mostly anglo-saxon. Probably everyone on the British Isles is related to King John.

The fact this report is coming from a commercial enterprise and not a university is pretty encouraging. Obviously it could still just be PR, but they likely wouldn't be touting this unless they expected to bring it to mass production.
