This is why Nvidia is the most valuable company in the world. Ultimately all these investment rounds for LLM companies are just going to be spent on Nvidia products.

I think you should also lay some blame on Apple who have this shitty policy for app store subs. Apple makes it very easy for users but users should really be aware to never use that feature since it's hostile to creators. It's not

Most of the time I use caching it's to cut down on network round trips. If I'm fetching data on every end user request that only updates daily or weekly caching that's a no-brainer. Edge caching for content sites is also a no

I think the article doesn't really prove AI is the culprit but I think this other article disproves that offshoring is. If offshoring was the culprit why is it only affecting the most junior employees? I think the case is still open bu

Yeah I've seen the same sentiment from a few others as well. Inference likely is profitable. Training is incredibly expensive and will sometimes not yield positive results.

I'm seriously not getting something about the entire argument in this blog post. How does a 10% equity stake make Intel more stable? At best it props up the stock price for a minute. If Intel continues to founder, then what? Federal go

Heh, I've always done this. Maybe if every mobile dev made sure I could find text like I can in a browser I'd be less strident. But really, I need a very good reason to install stuff.

There's bound to be tradeoffs between scrappy open source communities and trillion dollar industry behemoths. The fact that it's this close of a call is pretty amazing. And really you can blame your bank for not making a usable mo

BLS includes a household survey. It's not just based on payrolls. They aim to capture as much as possible about people with informal work or self-employment.

Likely very specious. Inflation is an emergent property. CPI is measured by looking at consumer prices which is pretty transparent. The underlying causes may be obscured and, in fact, we see a lot of debate on the causes but that is irrelev
