Not really. The real world seems to move much slower. I'm not sure if Android even fully supports 8 yet.

There's a simple but subtle difference in "why didn't you just x" and "did you try x". The first one has negativity associated with YOU in it and feels like it focuses on your past. The latter is neutral and it

I recommend hosting it yourself, works great and is fast on local network. You can run updates when it's convenient to you, not to others. GitLab is a rare software that enables you to be in control.

Are you suggesting anti-union actions from a US corporation on a news site run by venture capitalist? I mean... I hope this is not a new revelation to anyone.

It's really hard for me to figure out if you were sarcastic or not with your "never heard of the term"? You must be either young or never visited slashdot for it not to be sarcasm. It was a running joke in slashdot on every c

Someones death should 100% be a distraction over our daily lives to remind us all on the impeding doom. People getting hurt and distracted over who gets a black bar or not is better than nothing at all IMO.

Ohh gee, didn't someone promise a wall to win an election? Might have something to do with the active research and development on missile defense tech by the US. Let's not forget rail guns and lasers. Maybe it's just their wa

Talk to your friends, vote differently. Or bust your balls and go into politics. Fix it yourself. You can blame the system only for so long if you want change. "Talk is cheap. Show me the code"

Then start defining those into laws. I think my country already has those defined pretty well thanks to strong unions. You'll never get there if you don't even start.

No. There are clear differences on who is responsible here. We can expect a factory to be always responsible over their area as it is a larger entity and doing business and we expect them to be experts and be in control of their own domain.

This is why good leaders create an environment where you can be honest about such things. You are basically talking about an inhumane system led by fear. Then again we are talking about the navy here...

We don't come even close to sending uncompressed 1080p over the internet. So no, we don't have good enough internet connections yet even for video. Netflix/youtube streams are still garbage in image quality with huge amount o

Why is no one talking about Dave Kleiman, the wheelchaired man who died in 2013? He was supposedly a friend of Wright. My gut feeling is that he was the real Satoshi Nakamoto. Wright just sounds like an fraudulent opportunist who tries to b

I'm surprised about the 6-year-old kernel on a server with those specs. Apparently its still maintained until early next year. Anyone know if that might play a factor on the benchmarks? EDIT: nvm they did try other kernels but it only
