This thing is cool. I saw a live demo at IETF 118 in Prague last month. It totally eliminates buffer bloat, which makes it awesome for video chat. I saw the demo and was like "woah... I didn't think this would ever be possible.

Your goal is to remove people from the city who value efficiency and productivity? Or are you saying that you don't like me, personally, and want me to leave?

Or maybe he's like me, and both walks and drives, and doesn't want anybody to have to sit in a car wasting their life for longer than necessary. Efficiency matters.

It also happened in Portland in 2018, and it sucks, and makes me avoid Portland. The speed limit is 20mph on most roads, no matter how many lanes of empty tarmac there is, what time of day it is, with how much visibility, how straight the r

Building housing can address the housing-prices problem, but the homeless problem is actually a drug problem, which is actually a mental health problem, which is actually a deep social problem. You can't solve fentanyl with housing.

They completely solve the ordering problem of a key-value store as described in this article. What they don't do is give you a global linear ordering. But you don't need that in a key-value store, and you don't need that in

Or you could just use a CRDT. You don't need PAXOS, RAFT, or CURP to implement a key-value store. Those are distributed state machines , all you need is distributed state. That means you don't need a leader election. You don&#x

It's not absolving anyone from blame. The lab leak theory blames all parties-- it points out that the US NIH funded the research being done in Wuhan, which is public record. That's leaving aside the specious claim that there'
