the spirit of such a law is great, but there's a huge problem - what does the implementation even look like? Are we going to have regulatory committees oversee which types of data should be portable and when? Who writes the protocols

Sure, and how do corporations make money? by doing something that the generally pro-social public finds valuable. Of course it's not hard to find examples of corporations acting poorly and even examples of anti-social behavior making

It also allows corporations to use that software to provide society with a good or service that is valuable. If you're like me and believe the whole of mankind is generally pro-social - permissive licensing enables that majority to do

Interesting, some of the libraries you mention such as graphql and http, I feel there aren't better libs that exist than absinthe and ranch/cowboy. Which graphql library do you prefer over absinthe in other ecosystems?

Sure, I've not seen any claims that vitD cures covid (although I can imagine they exist somewhere) - but the full body of science leans heavily towards it being a strong preventative measure against the worst clinical outcomes of a cov

the decision may or may not be dumb, but appealing to the popularity of a decision is never logically sound. There have been incredibly unethical things done throughout history with far more than 1/3 approval.

You can't traffick humans without kidnapping them and holding them against their will. The whole point is we already have laws on the books to prevent that regardless of whether prostitution is legal or not.
