Just curious since I haven't done freelancing yet... how do you determine what is billable vs. non-billable? If 60% of your time is billable then what constitutes the other 40%? I know part of it is looking for new work. What else?

In D.C. it's about 55-65, but if you have clearance it can go 5-10 more.

I'm curious about the number of applicants vs number accepted. Has the number of applicants gone up dramatically each year?

Yeah, don't know why it was private for so long. Same with MasterCard. Their IPO was around 2 years ago.

Great job, the design is nice. Just curious - about how long did it take to do?

I agree with what others are saying about usability, but it's great that you're making your idea a reality. Keep up the good work!

I agree, but personally I wouldn't mind it going both ways (karma or $).

Good point, forgot about that one. I know people in that situation - not sure if they're looking to do a startup, but if they did it would be hard for them to leave their current company.

I can agree with the spirit of what he's saying. Resumes just make things easier for the bigger companies with HR departments. Most companies wouldn't waste time reading through your blog or looking up your contributions to some open sour

I wonder if it is catching on better outside the US? I know text-messaging took a little longer to go mainstream here versus internationally.

If you've really got a handle on the business side of things and you're a great people person, I'd say yeah. Even if you're not actually coding, you can provide ideas and feedback.
