I can't seem to be able to edit from mobile, I'm actually not sure if you can create a user using /admin out of the box. Anyway, it's a MTVC framework. Views and templates are coupled, and Django provides a user registra

That doesn't make sense. Django-allauth is the standard for non-rest Auth flow, django-rest-auth and djoser for rest API Auth flow. Each implementation is tailored for a slightly different case. There's a reason why only admin v

I second Synology NAS. Although the UX of running Nextcloud in docker was awful, I defaulted to using everything Synology has to offer instead of setting up OSS apps (Synology Photos instead of Nextcloud/ Photoprism etc). I run a few s

I don't think that's an edge case. I'm addicted to creating new side projects and I think there's more of 'us'. These projects usually don't get any traction but I like that they work, they are there, acce

Same here, but without these weird utils it doesn't get any better. I have 7 YoE with Django. Its great at so many things. You see some code, like middlewares, and immediately understand what's going on. Now, we also have Starlett

Lol. There's so much to unpack here that I started to suspect it's a bait. It is, right? You're lucky if you got an access to everything you need on day 1, not to mention setup the tooling. You can't improve the product

Emphasis on "aren’t well-suited to it", I guess. It gets complicated once you want to parameterize each node. For the past year or so I've been "typing graphs" into YAMLs. It's definitely doable, but hard to fo

I recently started the migration of my Django projects from Heroku to Fly. To test things out, I created this simple Django project. You might want to fork it and test whatever you need. I run into a few issues as well, all of them are desc
