The kubernetes up and running book gives a better big picture view than the documentation online does. It does a thorough job of developing motivation and context for using a broad swath of the system in a cohesive way.

The context of the lawsuit is irrelevant to the courts statement on puffery aside from being the initiating reason the statement on puffery was made (which we already knew). The court could have made the same statement without Prager filing

Your comment is all good and well, but while the tone is dismissive/combative, its content doesn't interact with peterhandlaw's point. Just so you know :)

My somewhat embarassed apologies. I have confused RocksDB with CockroachDB. My understanding is that, at the time of development, Rocks itself did not support multiple writers. This was in 2015, or maybe 2014. At this point it looks like Tr

The cost of a single PT appointment (much less a handful) should be enough for most people on dev salaries to consider the extra cost of a good ergonomic keyboard. Something something Sam Vimes and boots.

A previous company I worked at ran it in production. No problems with cockroach per se, but the code they wrote on top of it (to manage multiple writers) was a steaming pile. I’m not convinced that, even if the shim layer was better, it wou

Python has good facilities for a solid chunk of functional programming “in the small”. List comprehensions, map, filter, and reduce are all there with clear, easy to understand syntax. It’s no Haskell, but these are definitely niceties. Tha

Ricer is a slang term for a supped (souped?) up/tricked out Japanese car, usually with lots of aftermarket parts which make it go faster than stock. Think civics and supras. He’s making an analogy between those cars with tons of modifi

The only reason I can see for downvoting this comment is that it’s counter-narrative to the “we’re all gonna get rich on crypto right now” spiel. Can someone point out a better (actual) reason to downvote it?

Those are not things that emacs does outside the context of org mode. From your comment, the implementation of org mode in vscode sounds sparse. This is not a deficit in org mode but rather the implementation.
